CHAGA/HERB BUTTER

This is such an easy recipe and can be used in so many applications to boost flavour and as an added bonus - your immune system. Cooked baby potatoes or carrots from your garden, corn on the cob or a sizzling piece of steak or pork chops. Soo good you'll want to be sure to make extra.

INGREDIENTS

1 lb of room temperature unsalted butter or margarine - I used Bercel margarine because that's what I had on hand

1/2 tsp of salt (if using salted butter or margarine you can omit the salt - i still put in the margarine)

1/2 tsp of freshly ground pepper

1 1/2 tsp of fresh chives or 1 tsp of dried chives

1 tsp of fresh or 1/2 tsp of dried basil

1 tsp of finely ground chaga powder

Mix everything in a small bowl and put in a sheet of plastic wrap. Wrap the butter in the plastic wrap to form a sausage like roll and twist the 2 ends. Place in the fridge to harden. When ready to use, slice a small piece off and put on whatever needs a little extra boost in flavour. Enjoy.
